Sen. Byron L. Dorgan, D-N.D., and Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced several oversight hearings on a range of subjects next hear.

The minority party in Congress argued the Republican leadership has skirted its responsibility for administration oversight as defined in the Constitution.

When reality bites, you play 'pretend'. It's like Mr. Rogers' land of make believe.

In other words, the dems will go to never ending lengths to discredit and humiliate themselves, just to get a bone of a news headline now and then....

So where is the public demand that they stop the shenanigans and actually spent the time doing their job?

Tuhrahza: 'So, when do you think you'll be home, John?.
'Well, I'll be tied up in Ohio for a few more weeks. We've already managed to find two uncounted ballots and we've only been here for a month!'
'That's good news.'
'Not all that good. They were both for Bush. Durn.'
'Will you be home by Christmas?'
'For sure! You're talking 2005, right? We only have sixteen more states to do.'

"Sen. Byron L. Dorgan, D-N.D., and Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced several oversight hearings on a range of subjects next hear. "

They can't hold hearings without the Republicans agreeing to it.

So WHY are the Republicans agreeing to it?

They held EIGHT hearings this year!!!!!

"But the hearings -- eight this year on subjects ranging from the deficit to U.S. contracting in Iraq "

And just where in the Constitution does it say, that Congress has oversight authority over the executive branch?
