Piscataway, N.J. Researchers at Rutgers University have developed a trio of drugs they believe can destroy HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, according to a published report.
The drugs, called DAPYs, mimic the virus by changing shape, which enables them to interfere with the way HIV attacks the immune system.
Tests conducted in conjunction with Johnson and Johnson have shown the drug to be easily absorbed with minimal side effects. It also can be taken in one pill, in contrast to the drug cocktails currently taken by many AIDS patients.
This could be it, Stephen Smith, the head of the department of infectious diseases at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, said. We're all looking for the next class of drugs.

If you're careful with your Johnson, you won't NEED Johnson and Johnson.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
We have a WINNER!
Could they save the baby?
What's important is that it could very well lead to cures for other viral illnesses, including those that are not "God's judgement" for bad behavior.
LOL
great news nonetheless..lets see how this pans out.
HIV/AIDS will adapt and evolve as it has, aggressively, since we learned of it. The only cure is Christian morality.
I'm a moral Christian, so what would happen if I got AIDS? Is there another cure besides Christian morality?
Do any molecular biologist / biochemist FReepers know if there are any reverse transcriptase enzymes in use by the human body, or by any "friendly" microorganisms?
Your nomenclature makes it seem like Johnson & Johnson is either a gay couple or a law firm specializing in gay marriages. :-)
"HIV/AIDS will adapt and evolve as it has, aggressively, since we learned of it. The only cure is Christian morality."
"I'm a moral Christian, so what would happen if I got AIDS? Is there another cure besides Christian morality?"
Uhm, just how do you plan on getting aids if you are a moral Christian?
... by doing drugs?
...... by gay sex?
......... by sleeping around?
Stay moral. Find one and only one committed partner. Test them for STD's before you have sex with them for hte first time. Don't stick needles in your arm.
If you do all that and still get AIDS it will be a satanic miracle.
Of course it's a "gay disease"! The homo's brought it to America with their perversions. The homo's turned it into an epidemic with their promiscuity and bath houses. And the homo's spread it to every other corner of this society through blood transfusions, bi-sexual behavior, drug use, etc. That makes it "their" disease, fair and square. Give your homo propaganda a rest.

Someone else stuck me with a needle. Needlesticks are quite common. I don't have AIDS, but let's pretend I do.
Would I have another cure besides my Christian morality?
If you live a Christian, moral lifestyle, you're more likely to be killed by a cobra bite then by AIDS.
You're argument is similar to the what aboout abortion rights for someone who was raped by her father etc.
What is my argument? I wasn't aware that I had one. What do you think I'm arguing for?
I have never nor will I ever "Christian bash." Christ means more to me than life itself. You're not reading my words correctly.
The poster said there was no cure for AIDS except Christian morality. I'm asking for clarification on that statement. Now there's 3 of you who can't or won't answer my question.
Christian morality isn't a cure for aids any more than it is a cure for cancer. Death cures both. Faith is the antidote, in every case.
>> The poster said there was no cure for AIDS except Christian morality.<<
Actually, what he said was the only cure for the evolution of AIDS/HIV is Christian morality. TO ME, this means that even if AIDS is cured, it will require research that is started on something coming along that has as big an impact now as AIDS did when it came along in the '80s. I've always believed that to be true.
That was very profound. I wish it would fit in a tagline space.
