I'm with you. Can you describe the Coke commercial?
I am boycotting my neighbor, who put up a great lights display but then ruined it with a "Happy Holidays" sign.
Target.
Just kidding.
Marshall Fields actually says the word 'Christmas' in their TV commercial. Yay!
FOX NEWS wishes us all a Merry Christmas.
Just saw a Coke ad during the football game. You're right, they sing "I'm dreamin' of a White Christmas". Gives me yet another reason to drink Cole!
This reminds me of my little dilemma. I'm having trouble finding wrapping paper with a nativity scene or wise men, anything along those lines. I was hoping to find some in a store that's not a religious bookstore type of place. I will admit I haven't checked out Hallmark yet, but I used to be able to find this stuff at the local drugstore. Now all I find are snowflakes, snow men, Santa, elves, etc. on the wrapping paper. Even angels have been hard to find! It seems like even the wrapping paper companies aren't keeping Christ in Christmas anymore. Anyone have any ideas to share with me?

I intentionally bought my Christmas tree from the Boyscouts this year. I even gave money to the Salvation Army for the first time in ages. These two organizations have been rejected simply for their Christian inclinations and I intend to help make up for that the best I can.

I'd like to buy the world a home and furnish it with love,
Grow apple trees and honey bees, and snow white turtle doves.
I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony,
I'd like to buy the world a Coke and keep it company.
In & Out Burger (located in CA, NV and AZ). The employees wear buttons that say "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Their cups, believe it or not, have Bible verses hidden on the bottom rim. In & Out is a great (family-run) organization in general, and this is just one more good reason to suppor them.
You won't be buying a Virgin Mobile phone then. I'll probably misspell it but they're doing these "Merry ChrismaHanuKwanzica" commercials.
I hope everybody communicates their future patronage to the company and why.
I'm not buying any "Christmas" present from stores that don't have "Christmas" presents for sale.
Do you want to teach the world to sing now and buy them a coke? :)
Hmmm . . . Is it fair to just go to their webpage and see if they mention Christmas? For instance, Macys does.
While I agree that Coca Cola does a good job (by and large) with its Christmastime advertising, just remember that Yassir Arafat made a BUNCH of money off of his Coca Cola bottling plant in Ramallah which funded, in part, homicide bombers.
THE GIPPER
"God gives us moments that lift us and that bring us together. For many of us, Christmas is a deeply holy day, the birthday of the promised Messiah, the Son of God who came to redeem our sins and teach us that most needed of all lessons, 'Peace on Earth, good will among men.' For others of us, Christmas marks the birth of a good, great man, a prophet whose teachings provide a pattern of living pertinent to all times and to all people. Either way, his message remains the guiding star of our endeavors. I guess we all have our own favorite Christmas memories, for this is the time of year when most of us try to be better than our everyday selves. For the past few years in this great house, I've thought of our first real Christmas as a nation. It was the dark and freezing Christmas of 1776, when General Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware. They and Providence gave our nation its first Christmas gift -- a victory that brought us closer to liberty, the condition in which God meant man to flourish. It always seems to me that Christmas is a time of magic. Each December we celebrate a Prince, the Prince of Peace, born in utter poverty. And the fact of his birth makes hearts turn warmest at the coldest time of the year. Many of us do good at this time; most of us all mean to, but sometimes good intentions get lost in the hurry and bustle of the holiday season. ...One of the great messages of this season is that it's never too late to touch a life and maybe change the world forever for someone. ...So, now I light the Nation's Christmas tree. May its thousand lights illuminate our best resolves and cast a great glow on our affection for each other, and our thanks for each other, and our love." --Ronald Reagan
