You appear a bit emotional for reasoned discourse -- and perhaps a bit uneducated. Since you failed to grasp the point of my comment, I will explain in more simplistic terms; the argument I proffered was that Canadians are increasing driven to take stands and adopt policies counter to what are perceived to be American stances and policies. Comments regarding Canadian desires to be all things not American cannot be new to you(?)

The phenomena of Canadians embracing all things not American is reaching a level of inanity that I commented that I would not be surprised if Canada became a radical muslim fundamentalist state.

Get it? Americans are opposed to, and fighting against, radical muslim fundamentalism -- ergo Canadians will embrace radical muslim fundamentalism.

The nuance might be a bit fine for you, so let me clarify -- I said I would not be 'surprised' if Canada became a radical muslim fundamentalist state, and did not say Canada will become such a state. That Canada will, or will not, become a radical muslim fundamentalist state is not the point; the point is that Canadians are becoming increasingly radical in their opposition to all things American. My comment regarding Canada becoming a muslim fundamentalist state illustrates that Canadian radicalism appears to have no bounds.

Well I am educated enough to understand the two countries since half my family, including all my grandkids are American and I spend much time in the U.S. My son was in WTC on 9/11 and he barely escaped. His bosses wife was blown up in Bali. I have reason to hate Muslims as much as anyone. The truth of the matter is, there are probably more Muslims selling slurpies in New Jersey 7-11's than in all of Canada. When I last checked, Canada's Muslim population stood at about 600,000, while the U.S. is home to between 6-8 million muslims, depending on how you count them.

Secondly Canada is not anti-American. Our cultures are so intertwined that many Canucks can only differentiate by defining themselves against the America Standard and what is so wrong about that? Do you see this as some big plot?

Time for you to do your own emotional gut check and stop posting uninformed nonsense that only serves to further fuel a tension that does neither of us any good.
