If I only knew what I know now, I would have fought against it. It was the beginning of the end for good schools, things have rapidly deteriorated over the years.

I went through the same thing - thought I'd died and gone to heaven when the dress code was lifted in 1970.

Hindsight is 20-20, unfortunately.

The first thing I wore to school was a t-shirt and a pair of jeans covered with patches.

Gone were the days of button down shirts, dress pants and shoes.
Course I was a non drug using hippie back then.
