Yes, the stated reason was being intoxicated while serving drinks -- but the real message is clear. In my experience, you could catch 80% of the bartenders in this city drinking on the job. And as I understand it, the intoxicated while serving violation is usally a ticketable offense, not often leading to the arrest of the individual on the rare times it's enforced at all.
I believe the bartender was arrested because of the deaths of these two individuals, as part of a 'witch hunt'.
