In the past the US has often emulated what Israel does security wise since theirs is so far superior to ours. They can't afford huge mistakes or they disappear. Currently they are building huge fence around their border. We could do the same, "enriched" by balls of barbed razor wire and patrolled by drones with soldiers every 1/4 mile armed with automatic weapons and encouraged to shoot as would any other country in this hemisphere other than Cannaduhh.
