I'm not putting anyone down for trying this procedure, I'm just telling you what I remember.
I've had a Caldwell-Lucs procedure under local anesthetic & ethmoiditus, so YES, I KNOW what pain is. And I know that opiates don't work very well. (It's beyond me how anyone can get off on oxycontin.)
Good luck and do your research. I was cured by a smart-as$ Indian surgeon who's not afraid to do cutting edge surgery. Even so, I was in pain for six months after the last operation (laser ethmoidectomy).
My best advise to you and anyone in a nasty medical situation: find the doctor that other doctors are jealous of. If, during a consult, a doctor says, "if you go to such -an-such, he will do surgery, but you won't get better" THAT'S the doctor to go to.
Been there, done that. It works.
It's against my principles to kill an baby and cure me. They'll have to find another way.
