Have there been any opinion polls of late asking whether we should stay in or get out of the UN?

"The UN created the country of Israel out of Palestine with little input from the Palestinians, if any. Rather than seek cooperation, and togetherness, the "Romper Roomers" carved a piece of real estate and presented it to the Israeli's and another offered to the Palestinians. The latter declined, and there has been conflict there ever since. Note that there was little conflict prior."

You've got to be kidding. Arabs were killing Jews there since 1929. Remember Husseini? The Mufti of Jerusalem? There were no such people called "Palestinians" either. Except for Jews of course. The area known Palestine was under British control after the fall of the Ottoman empire. The entire mid-east was divided up, with Arabs getting most of the land. Jews were supposed to get much more than they have now. Regardless, Jews began rebuilding Israel, which was nothing but a malaria infested pile of rubble at the turn of the century. Nobody lived there, except the odd Jew, Some Christians. See Mark Twain's description. Palestine was a region, never a state, a town, a city. Never was there a currency, a government, leader, king or otherwize.
