You know,it's funny that you mentioned Rove because I've been thinking off and on today,that I think Rove is taking everybody's name down and thinking ahead to 2008! I don't know but I kind of guess in 2008, if not before, these senators will be sorry that they even tried to mess with Rumsfeld and by extension GWB!
IMO, Bush's main agenda, apart from terrorism, is taking down the Democratic Party as it is currently configured. He went to Washington to shake up the status quo, so the status quo politicians are in an uproar. Rove is working with the President to achieve this goal.
While I do believe Bush will retire happily, I do not think he will do so without an intention to leave a strong Party behind him. He'll be out there campaigning in 2008, of that I have little doubt. I strongly suspect he'll have a hand behind the scenes in weeding out people that would fracture the Party, such as McCain and Hagel.

They created the mess Rumsfeld has had to clean up. Rummy could spend 24 hours of the day piling on their heads, but he hasn't. He has a job to do. He has class and he understands we are at war. He is a better man then they are. He is a Patriot.
