Don't underestimate the strength of a paraplegic in a wheelchair.
They do EVERYTHING with their arms, so they can be very powerful and very fast.
Add alcohol to the mix and you can have a real problem. Especially since many are can be on the mean and bitter side because of their condition.
In my 23 years as a paramedic, I have made many scenes just like this.
I can easily see a taser being used.
