The third party candidates -- Badnarik and Cobb -- were officially behind it, but Kerry intervened in a court case to ensure that all 88 counties participated in the recount.

Kerry intervened in a court case to ensure that all 88 counties participated in the recount To be fair, I agree with the Kerry camp on this -- either count them all, or none of them. Doing it piecemeal gives us FL 2000 or WA 2004 scenarios.

If they can pick up 242 votes with every recount, find some absentee ballots that weren't counted (like in Washington state) they can turn this into a Kerry victory in only another 490 recounts.
