I agree. All of my cats came from the humane society or were strays I picked up. Paying $50,000 for a feline friend is demented.

Our local shelter is in trouble ( like everything else in NY). She could have adopted a kitten for $50.00 and donated the rest to her SPCA. $50 grand.......I wonder what something as big as a horse might cost?

Agreed. However, like anything else, the more common this practice becomes, the lower the price will eventually be.

Heck, I don't even have to go get them. They just appear, cats and their kittens.
