I heartily agree with those who recommend that you dump the bloated WMP and use Winamp.

My library is sick as well. I've gotten to the point where I'll listen to whatever song the good Lord wants me to hear.

I haven't been exactly thrilled with Media Player 10 either. Can you uninstall it and go back to 9? I have systems running both and I'm happier with 9.Also I've found that the search function in 10 refuses to find Rush Limbaugh but if you do a search for WLS and play it when Rush is on it works, for me anyway. One of the nice things about modern big hard drives is you have room for several media players IE WinAmp,Real Player etc.Another issue may be a conflict between Mozilla and media player do you have Firefox set as your default browser? What about an extension for Media Player in Firefox?

If you go to the Mircosoft help site and enter a search, you will find their forums are full of people who had problems with their "upgrade" to Version 10.
I found I couln't uninstall it--but since I have XP I could use the system restore feature and go back to the system before I downloaded the darn thing. Good luck!
