Several agencies have intercepted electronic communications pointing to Al Qaida's plans to launch a major attack over the next two weeks, Western intelligence sources said.

The sources said Al Qaida was planning to use Islamic subcontractors to carry out major attacks against civilian targets in Europe. Al Qaida has been gathering assets in several European Union countries and Russia over the past two months, the sources said.

I wouldn't be surprised. We managed to foil their attacks so many times, that now they look pretty impotent and they are trying to change that.

I think between now and President Bush's inauguration, they will try something, if they can.

I just hope we will foil them again -- although it will be no thanks to ACLU and all the other bleeding heart liberals, who can't stand the thought of us even making the captured terrorists slightly uncomfortable, even if thousands of lives, our lives depend on getting information from them.

But if they set off the metal detector or a bomb sniffing dog likes them too much, they will search thoroughly.

I think this announcement and the new guidelines was because probably some screeners used the search excuse to "search" (=grope) female passengers.

This just says they need a darn good excuse.

The problem with all this, is that all the security measures are as good or bad, as the people who are supposed to carry them out.

I still think they should learn from the El Al Israeli screeners and train our people to that same degree (and not hire untrainable ones).

Al Qaida will strike in Europe, especially in countries that are not directly involved in America's nation-building efforts in Iraq. Maybe Germany or France. Maybe even Belgium or the Netherlands. Why? The Mohammedan vermin wants to keep on globalizing the Jihad. Yes, they want to see Dutchmen, Germans and French burning Mosques so they can start a truly global religious war.
