We are watching the DemocRAT semi-dry run for 2008. They learned a few lessons in Florida in 2000, where they fell short - they proceeded to iron out a few kinks in Ohio this year, and applied those lessons to a Governor's race in Washington, and universally proclaimed: "EUREKA!"

This series of tactics and strategies by the 'Rats will continue to be fine tuned from coast to coast between now and 2008. As a national political party the DemocRATS are finished - which means they have nothing to lose by now pursuing a course of total illegality in order to seize power. They have no other choice. They were rejected by the American people as a whole along with their leftist hate-Bush/hate-America allies. In the wake of that rejection, they now realize that in order to reclaim their lost power, they can do only one thing:

STEAL IT.

And they did (in Washington State) and they will (in the future), IF - they are allowed to get away with it.

This is a very dark day.

Just keep re-countin' 'em until they say what you want, then stop.

They do seem to be perfecting that method, don't they.

It's up to the people of Washington now. The RNC should get off their ass and do something as well.

Thankfully Bush got outside of the 'margin of litigation' in OH. If SKerry would have gotten about 100k more votes we may still not have a decision, and in a worse case scenario be on the brink of crisis.

True, but Bush still would have been in a much, MUCH better position than Rossi was. Kerry doesn't have all his "friends" in charge of OH the way Gregoire does in WA. We wouldn't have to worry about 2-1 democrat county election boards inevitably overruling the lone republican since OH is 2R-2D.

Unfortunately, with almost the entire political power structure in WA being controlled by the dems, with a margin this close, it was pretty much curtains for Rossi from the very beginning.

If Rossi "loses" this race through vote manufacturing, he may well get a compensatory win in a future election. John Thune of South Dakota ultimately benefitted from his questionable loss. Hope Rossi runs for a US Senate seat against Cantwell in '06.

How does the party let this re-re-re-re-count happen?

Most voters in Washington State are Democrats. They don't really care about free and fair elections. They only want to win and rule. They drove Boeing out of Washington State. The Washington State Supreme Court is in their pocket. If the election had not been close their cheating would not be enough. This is what they tried to do in Florida but the people of Florida rose up this election in a red tidal wave of patriotism. The same happened in Ohio. One quarter of Democrats are out and out traitors.

I know. The rats are a discrace to what this country is supposed to stand for. Washinton state might as well become socialist. I hope that the Republican Party here challenges this and goes for a recall like California.

As far as I am concerned, the Rats have completely destroyed the election process in Washington State. This is absolutely sickening.

It will never happen, but I still long for a day when a Civil War cleans all this crap up!

I guess when Democrats feel threatened by a worthy and strong candidate, they feel the need to throw a monkey wrench into the works.

If this is allowed to stand, I wonder what all the out-of-state special interest money (used to allow this hand recount to occur) will have bought. Probably the new Governor's heart and soul.

This is just unacceptable, I look forward to supporting the chalenges.

"What is more amazing is it is allowed to happen!"

What will be more amazing is watching the republican electorate (in WA) fail to do anything to protest the swindle.

How many laws have the Dems broken up in Washington to make sure their gal wins???,P>

The law means nothing to a democrat. Never has, never will.

The situation that now exists is like playing showdown poker and letting one player (King County) rummage through the deck and pick a hand after all the other hands have been dealt. In future elections, the other counties should hold their vote tallies until the last minute to prevent King County from having time to manufacture the required number of votes to win.

Make that "significant numbers of Democrats." Remember Sen. Zell Miller is a Democrat of the old style when they were patriots too.

The eyes (windows of the soul) of Gregoire always hit me as VERY WEIRD. Like serpent eyes or something. Is this just me?
