Your dad's a good egg. I know how much he helped with the Free Republic efforts. Doesn't surprise me to find out that a number of other organizations will also be missing his help too. That's a common thing I've seen over the years. Those that are very giving, you only know a small part of it. At the funeral or viewing, you find out that you only knew a piece of it and you wonder, how did they manage to do all that?

From my experience, he really seemed to be a resolute, courageous individual.

Condolences on the loss of your father. He was certainly one of the good ones! I will miss him; FR will miss him. One small thought; though gravely ill, he was able to do his part in the 2004 campaign, vote for GW and see his Republican President achieve a wonderful victory. Must've made him smile.
