I guess you didn't catch Bradshaw's act early in his career!
Of course I did. Unlike Steeler fans, us Browns fans remember that there was an NFL before 1972. >:) Without the solid team Noll built around him, Bradshaw stunk.

Kruszek (sic?) came in with the team intact and they won despite is complete lack of experience. I've long said Bradshaw was somewhat overrated himself. His main benefit to the Steelers was the fact that he didn't make many mistakes. Of course, with that team around him he rarely had to try to make a play himself.

Yeh, you're right. I was just being difficult. Bradshaw had nothing when he got here in the beginning, he almost got killed. Then he was surrounded by a team of Hall of Famers.... made it much easier!

;-)

Remember Turkey Jones stuffing Bradshaw head first into the ground? That was frightening.

I have always maintained that Bradshaw was a good QB who played on a great team. His career stats by themselves are OK, but nothing to shout about. Of course, I could be prejudiced, since the Steelers beat up on the Browns so much in the '70s and '80s. :-)

I was at the game in '76 when Turkey Joe Jones planted TB headfirst in the turf. Sitting in the closed part of the endzone behind the 3B dugout at the old stadium, just above the Steeler section. I have never experienced more craziness at a sporting event than that day.
