The name of the movie might be telling.
If I go to a movie it usually is at a place called Shirlington in Arlington, VA. They don't have "punk" movies.

The perps undoubtedly aren't the types to take too kindly to that sort of "dissing." Even looking at them in the eye is often interpretted (by them) as a direct threat.

No concealed carry in California. A much different headline if they allowed it.
Plus, I bet people would shut up while in the theater.

I had a similar experience the other night at my daughter's 6th grade holiday concert. Some teenager was yapping on her nextel for about 3 mins during the performance & I turned around to her and in a matter of fact voice I told her she really should take her converstaion outside.... she produced the dumbest "i don't have a clue but who do you think you are " look i have ever seen. That's where it ended, but the nerve of the trollette!

Seems I have made a good decision in not going to the "movies" for over twenty years, though my reasons were for mental preservation, not physical. ;)

Even if there were CCW in California, the victim was 19. Most states require a CCW holder to be at least 21.

That is why I have my Sharp PLV-70 projector 8 foot wide by 4.5 foot tall screen) driven by a Home theater PC, 7.1 system, Kef speakers, 3000 watts of QSC amplification/digital equalization and two SVS 25-31 subs tuned to 20 hz. I have not missed the movie theater in YEARS. Haven't listened to any Cell phone calls been threatened, sat in sticky seats, and generally felt like cattle. And the sound is much better than most theaters and picture quality is almost as good.

Really, the best thing to do is go to the lobby and get the manager (not an usher). Give them a minute or two to put a stop to it. If it doesn't work, ask for your money back and let them know you won't be.

The only movie I've seen in the past 4 years is The Passion of the Christ which was thankfully free of these type of disturbances.

You think that some thugs who'd smack down someone in the parking lot wouldn't also carry guns WITHOUT permits?

Mira Mesa has an asian gang problem as well. The local joke for years has been "Manilla Mesa". His mistake was doing the shooshing himself. Go tell management to shoosh them and if they dont demand your money back. Second mistake, Walk home? in Manilla Mesa? No way. I used to carry years ago for just this kind of reaason, but if you get caugt now with a piece it is more serious offense now.
I dont go out to movies very much anymore because of rude people anyways. I would even pay extra for a guaranteed "quiet" theater.

The final straw for me was when I went to see "Seven". The couple behind me was recieving and MAKING cell phone calls. I said something to them and was threatened at which point I bowed up. My wife was freaking out. I then went to get the usher to stop the phane calls and the usher said ,"I aint about to go in there and say anything to someone I don't know. I aint getting shot."
I demanded a refund and was initially refused because by then the movie had been going on 45 minutes. I needless to say got my refund.
And movie theaters wonder why their average age of the patron has fallen dramatically in the past thirty years. (Families were bigger then too)
