Ailing party diagnosis (War of the Dems)

Stick your head in the sand all you want. The majority of the American people has virtually never agreed with the liberal point of view, but it hasn't stopped them from electing them to power on occasion, when they are percieved as being more centerist, and less 'mean' then Republicans.

If they are able to credibly be on equal footing, or to our right on national security, real or percieved and be on credibly on equal footing or on our right on government spending, real or percieved, we will lose our majority.

This isn't talking down our accomplishments, nor is it saying I expect them to be able to do either of these things in the near future, but if they do, we will be on very shaky ground. Mark my words on that.

The Dems, much like the French and Germans, forgot the lessons of WWII: Instead of realizing that free men everywhere must fight evil, they learned that fighting is evil.
