NEW DELHI: Huge waves that battered the Indian coastline after an earthquake in Indonesia may have damaged a nuclear power plant in southern Tamil Nadu state, the government said on Monday. The Press Trust of India news agency said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had called a meeting on Tuesday to review any damage to the plant.

if it's modern design it doesn't matter.
If it's really old design, big problem.

One to watch. The combo of the shaking, to stress the piping, with the wave smacking it may be outside the design envelope.

This is no biggie....
after all it has been reported that the quake
"Disturbed the rotation of the earth" and "moved an Island
100 feet to the west"

Now what I want to know is ....
did everybody on the earth lose their
balance or become weightless for a millisecond?
and did the island's anchor chain drag a bit ?
