After spending the last seven months in Iraq, I will make sure that my contributions only go to organizations who are also supporting rebuilding effforts there. They, along with the Iraqi people, are true heroes and deserve my support. Organizations such as American Friends Service Committee who send volunteers and then call for troop withdrawal will not see one dime of my money.

It would be good to be able to put together a "cream of the crop" list of organizations we think are worthwhile because of how they have behaved in the past and their adminstrative costs being reasonable, and their effectiveness at their outreach.
My company said we don't solicit from employees when I asked about Adopting troops in Iraq or collecting/sending items for the troops.
Today they sent a solicitation for this tragedy. Needless to say I wrote the Corporate office about this double-standard in supporting others before supporting our own American troops.
