Transportation minister dies under suspicious circumstances...suicides or covering one's tracks?.

Prosecutors opened a criminal investigation on Dec. 28 into the death of Transportation Minister Heorhiy Kirpa, a supporter of Prime Minister and presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych. The investigation will determine whether Kirpa was driven to suicide, an offense punishable by seven to 10 years in prison.

Kirpa's body was found in his country home near Kyiv on Dec. 27, the same day opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko took an unassailable lead in the third round of the country's presidential election. Deputy Interior Minister Mykhailo Manin is overseeing the investigation.

Korrespondent.net, a Russian-language news website, reported that Kirpa met with one of Ukraine's elite just hours before his death. The identity of the individual and the purpose of the meeting remain unclear. The site also reported that Kirpa is known to have been alive at 4 p.m.

Ivan Saliy, former deputy transportation minister, said on Dec. 27 that Êirpa's death is most likely related to financial problems within the ministry. According to Korrespondent.net, Saliy added that the ministry had misused funds earmarked for the construction of a new bridge in Kyiv.

Opposition politicians claimed that Kirpa helped Yanukovych engineer election fraud during the first two rounds of voting on Oct. 31 and Nov. 21 by allocating trains to ferry Yanukovych’s supporters to vote, more than once, across the country.

Kirpa, 58, was in charge of some of Ukraine’s boldest projects, valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. Projects he spearheaded as transportation minister and director of Ukraine’s state railroad Ukrzaliznytsya include construction of the Kyiv-Odessa autobahn, development of a new bridge across the Dnipro River in Kyiv, and modernization efforts at the state railway company Ukrzaliznytsya.

I think they are talking about 'driving some to suicide'. I looked on MapQuest and the closest I could find was a Suicide Corners, in NY. Between Bethany Center and Texaco Town on US 20. East Road crosses US 20 right there.

Vince Foster met with Marsha Scott "just hours before his death".

Susi Hubbell told Webb she was "afraid of Marsha".

So we look forward to learning the identity of Kirpa's "elite" visitor and a full exposure of circumstances.

Or not.

I don't know who Martha Scott is.

Marsha Scott was a figure in the Clinton power structure.

July 19, Monday

Marsha Scott, Deputy Assistant to the President, spends 1-2 hours in a closed door session with Vince Foster. This is especially noted by Linda Trapp, executive assistant to Bernard Nussbaum, because Foster rarely has meetings this long with any one person.
