KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko said on Wednesday that he planned to name Yulia Tymoshenko his prime minister.
"There is a protocol under which my parliamentary group [representing his Our Ukraine party] and I are to use our resources to mobilize support by my parliamentary group for the candidate Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko]," Yushchenko told reporters in Kyiv.
I view this development with acute skepticism and some amusement. No suprise, though.
who is she, his intern?
She looks perfectly qualified for the job. What's the problem? /sarcasm
Well at least she's attractive. :)
What a Babe!!!!!
Honestly, did anyone expect someone else to be appointed PM?
I might be persuaded to support an Amendment to allow foreign-born Americans to run for President if she moves here....
She has held posts as the director of United Energy Systems of Ukraine, chair of the Parliament Budget Committee, and the Cabinet post of vice prime minister for fuel and energy. Tymoshenko also led the united democratic opposition for some while.
Well, I can say that she is a babe. And given her resume, she at least appears to be qualified for the job. Now, will she be a great PM, that has yet to be seen. However, at least on paper, she appears that she will be one.
At one point Tymoshenko controlled over 20% of the Ukrainian economy. Her personal net worth is estimated to be eleven billion dollars. Billion, not million.
The Kuchma faction pushed Tymoshenko out, she pushed back, Kuchma is out, and trying to escape Khodorkovsky's fate. "Who's the new boss, same as the new boss," as The Who put it.
My suspicion is that we have been seeing a struggle between two factions of the oligarchy. The "democracy" stuff was a means, not an end.
She is a very attractive woman. The dark eyes have little secrets:)
That site is utter self congratulation and propaganda. Really lays it on thick.
A couple weeks ago I Googled up her name and read a number of links and news articles about Tymoshenko. Her personal biography is consistent with how ostensibly neutral sources were describing her career.
In any case, I posted it because a couple posts seemed to be dismissing her qualifications based on her babeness. ;) Her resume is what it is regardless of her motivations.
"I view this development with acute skepticism and some amusement. No suprise, though."
No need to. She's tougher than The Iron Lady... with looks. She'll do just fine... and sure as h*l* does not need a guardian.
11 billion? she makes Theresa Kerry look poor.
