KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko said on Wednesday that he planned to name Yulia Tymoshenko his prime minister.
"There is a protocol under which my parliamentary group [representing his Our Ukraine party] and I are to use our resources to mobilize support by my parliamentary group for the candidate Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko]," Yushchenko told reporters in Kyiv.
I would like to know how this woman made her billions?
KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine's Supreme Court threw out the last of four complaints on Thursday lodged by Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, dealing a blow to his dogged bid to overturn his liberal rival's victory.
"The last complaint will not be considered. All four complaints were rejected," Supreme Court spokeswoman Liana Shlyaposhnikova said.
Yanukovich, beaten by liberal challenger Viktor Yushchenko in a re-run of a November vote that had been rigged in the premier's favor, has vowed never to concede defeat. He can launch further legal challenges once the poll's result is officially published.
