I guess none of these people realize the President can only volunteer so much before getting it approved by congress -- who happens to be on vacation right now. As commander in chief he was able to send the military to help... and he did -- and I heard there is a slush fund he can spend without approval -- but over a certain amount has to have approval... they are complaining about the money he got for Florida -- BUT he had congress approve those billions and no one helped us out but the USA -- in other words we had to help ourself -- I didn't hear a word from the UN except this was our fault because of Global Warming.
It's OK to go slow; unless they ask for help.. We have not heard press reports from each country asking for aid - on the contrary we have heard reports that Sri Lanka rejected aid from Israel.
India and Thailand have the monies. India can take care of thier own country.
Indonesia is and the majority of the islands that were hit are Muslim.
Where is the "UN"?
Where is France?
Where are the Aussies?
Where are the Chinese?
We dont go unless we are invited. All they want is our monies.
What they need are water purifiers, canned foods and construction tools.
They do not want us to send materials they want us to send money.
Let the countries individually ask what they need.
