It's a continuation of the Pacific Rim earthquakes - over 200 this year.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression there's anything remotely unusual about over 200 Pacific Rim earthquakes.

If you have evidence which you can produce that says that 200 earthquakes in a year for the Pacific Rim is not unusual - please produce it!
