A HIGH IQ is a hindrance for women wanting to get married...

Bah. My wife is a brilliant woman. She went to college on a partial scholarship and graduated at the top of her class and has worked in embedded systems for satellites since her graduation. She's the best darned partner I could have ever wished for.

I think the thing that's keeping a lot of these "high IQ" women unmarried ain't their IQs...it's their personality (which has most likely become poisoned with anti-male 'feminist philosophy').

I think you are on to something here. University trained women are often victims of the most nauseating FemiNazi indocrination, which renders them severely handicapped in the happy marraige and kids department.

Good call. Many also seem to have a weird paranoia going on, where even when the going's good in a relationship, they are preparing bulwarks for what they see as its inevitable end. A guy, no matter how sincere, just doesn't have a chance against that way of thinking.

Exactly. I don't think it has anything to do with IQ... It think it's values and how they treat others.

I didn't have any problem finding my current better half. I have an IQ of 155. Then again, I'm not a hairy legged harpy.

Mostly in agreement here. I have found that there are quite a few men who do not like smart women, but the men I have dated/married preferred women with a brain in their head.

On my Christmas Eve flight, I was seated next to such a womyn. How could I tell? Dress, manner, hairstyle, sandals, even her choice of glasses.

"Stereotyping again, Hank?" you might say. Well, consider her choice of reading material: "Sex Discrimination in a Nutshell". I bet she's lotsa laughs on a date.

It's just getting too easy; the leftie 'Rats don't even bother to disguise it.

I agree. My husband is proud of my intelligence, and often laughs that he is glad he married me so that I can help him.

Intelligent women who don't marry are often off-putting with their egos and self-centeredness. Plus the womens lib movement has instilled a lot of younger women with poisonous attitudes.

High IQ and being oversexed seems to turn men off too.

Tried marraige once lasted for 6months.

He used to punish me by refusing sexual relations. See Ya. He had other darker plans for me too, someone told on him.

Put a lid on my sex drive, missed men chronically for two years and that was close to 20 years ago.

I just look and smell all you wonderful male creatures now.

I guess it is like being a dry drunk.

Bingo.

It's the gap between their expectations and the reality posed by their attitudes to their mates that keeps them from marriage.

Additionally, many have intellectualized and provided self-evidencing arguments for the destruction and banishment to hell of all men. Overcoming that initial hurdle for many is too imposing for anyone that values how a finite lifespan is spent. You could chip away at a Janeane Garofolo, and after 40 years get her to admit that conservatism has it's merits, but why would you want to work so hard for so little?
