This writer makes several good points. Why are "youngsters" watching this at 9pm anyway? Is it really the governments job to do your parenting for you? And is Desperate Housewives really that racy anyway?
Time for a good old Church Lady Republican vs South Park Republican debate. LOL.

ABC's smash-hit "Desperate Housewives" is also the most popular broadcast-network TV show with kids ages 9-12.This fact proves parents are not doing their jobs.

Instead of rushing to fire off complaints to the FCC, maybe parents should start rushing to turn off the television. Naw, that's too hard. Let government take care of the problem. I mean, why should parents be expected to take care of their own kids?

The writer is correct that children should not be watching this garbage and their parents shouldn't let them. However, he seems to imply that it is children of "conservative" parents who are watching. He has no facts to back this up and seems to assume this because a conservative group has complained.

Yeah, the little tykes should be watching the wonderfully educational South Park rather than Desperate Housewives.
South Park had another wonderful Christmass special in December that I hope that you and your family had a chance to watch.
