Great info! Can you post the link?
I was told that the owner's name is Lisa Adams.
Just wondering out loud: has the boarding kennel owner been approached to consider a contribution "in kind" knowing the reasons why these pets need housing for a period of time?
I would hope that he/she would give Andy and his parents a cost 'break'.
Please note that the address given at the beginning of this thread is slightly different than the address given on the website. Above, it says 2110 Strickland Bridge Road and on the website it says 2102 Stickland.
Never doubted for a minute.
I noticed that too...I suspect it's all at the same general area...their home is their business, according to that website.
Just to be safe, though, I'd use the one from the website.
help for Marine ping.

Just a thought.....
I had a dog in the dog hospital for 2 weeks. While I was there I met a girl who's home and burned down and she had to board her dog because she was living in a hotel. I offered to take her dog to my home so she would be able to visit him as often as she wished, not have a $210 a week bill, and know that he would have a big yard to play in and be well cared for.
Would it be possible to contact a kind person in the Fayetteville area who would be able to foster the dog in their home while the marine is in the hospital? A home is always better than being boarded.

It's a good thought, and if I were in that area, my home would be what I would offer. There also exist some military pet foster programs, but they aren't everywhere.
That kind of thing has to kind of fall in your lap. It isn't easy to go looking for a good samaritan.
I agree...that would be ideal.
Hmmm....I have a big back yard...I don't live anywhere near there, but maybe someone in my area could use a "baby" sitter!
Thank you very much!
Done! Thanks for this post, we are passing it on to our pet/vet friends
PetroniDE, would you be able to ping the kitty caption list to this thread? I'm sure some of those folks would love to help out.
I looked into trying to foster military pets here, being able to take on anything from dogs and cats to horses or a goat, but there wasn't an organized program here, and I didn't think I had the gumption to start one. But I am near Fort Lewis, and could take on critters for the duration of deployments and such, if any in need read this message.
Ping to our Marine FRiend Andy from a few weeks ago.
ping!
Thanks to all who have helped so far... It is very appreciated!
