re: was flipped off three times
I never cease to be amazed at the core differences between the right and the left! I would never dream of insulting someone with a Kerry bumper sticker, not even if he had won the contest. Yet people from the other side have no qualms about flipping us off. It used to upset me a bit, now I just realize it's their way of saying "Congratulations, your man won!"

Yet people from the other side have no qualms about flipping us off.To paraphrase Don Meredith, "They're acknowledging that Bush is 'Number-1'."

When I see a Kerry/Edwards yard sign or bumper sticker, I pray for the occupants of the vehicle or home. Especially the children.

Being in Seattle, I was not surprised to be "flipped off" and my son wasn't paying attention thankfully. What I found interesting, not surprising, was that a group of three young "ladies" at the Seattle Center were having a profanity laced conversation about how "anyone but Bush" would be a better president. It was as if the election never happened.

It's viewed a little differently in Nascar. On the track, one driver to another saying, "You're number ONE".
