Kathy is such a wonderful lady! She is indeed! She's a great friend to our military, to the canteen and to FreeRepublic. :-)

As many of you know, the posters have been completed and are in the process of being printed and shipped back to DC for mounting.
I want to once again thank everyone who contacted me and offered to help with this project. I wish I had more time to make another montage with the photos and offers that came in late, but we've run out of time.
To all who responded to this thread; contacted me and sent photos, offered to send photos, wanted to send photos, are pictured, or who's family members are pictured on the posters, a HUGE thank you. (I have tried to remember everyone, but so many freepers graciously offered to contribute to this project, if I neglected to ping you to this post, please forgive me.) These military 'thank you' posters have much more impact and meaning because they are made up of FReepers or their family members. A 'thank you' also to my husband (freeper jkphoto) for his help with the finer points of creating high quality large digital graphics.
I have sent links to small versions of the two completed posters to many of you, but for those who haven't seen them and would like to, freepmail me and I will send you the links. (The files are large - 574k and 896k, so if you have a dial-up connection they will take a long time to load.)
God bless and protect our troops!

Hi Mama_Bear,
I only just saw this thread, but would love to see what you have put together. I only wish I could be in DC for the Inaugural this year. Alas, I am required to be at a once-a-year company function.
May I please have a link to the photos? Thanks for all your efforts.

I can not thank you enough for the beautiful job you did on the Military posters. I look forward to seeing them first hand at the Ball. Thank God President Bush was reelected..I doubt if the same honour would have been bestowed on our men and women in the military if the other side had been elected. God Bless you

I doubt if the same honour would have been bestowed on our men and women in the military if the other side had been elected. I am sure you are right about that!
Being able to make these posters for the Inaugural Ball was an honor (not to mention a labor of love).
See you at the Ball. :-)

Any word on WHICH ones you chose...or do we have to shut up and be surprised?!? Well, since you are going to the Ball, you might want to wait until you see them full size. But if you don't want to shut up and be surprised, I will freepmail you the links to the small versions, but they don't do the finished product justice.
Because so many freepers sent me photos, I was only able to use a few of the photos from the links you sent, but they look great on the finished posters. :-)
