Many people don't know that all the proceeds of the song "God Bless America" go to the Boys and Girls Scouts.

Berlin, the most successful songwriter of the 20th century, left a great legacy.

Considering all the Boy Scout bashing of late, I thought this would be a nice change.

"These councils do not discriminate on any basis..."

They'd better be vetting the adult leaders and keeping the homos and other perverts, deviants and degenerates, out.

You prompt me to tell of my 15 mins (not quite that long) of fame: I sang this song (along with other boy & girl scouts) on the Ed Sullivan show for the special celebration of Irving Berlin's 80th birthday. Also appearing were The Supremes and Robert Goulet. We were treated royally by all concerned, it was a really, truly WOW! experience.
