Well inthat case youshould know that there is no point. These guys are clueless.

In WA they come up with 3,500 more votes in the recount than are in the county and their guy wins, but that is not a problem.

Your response to the lefties is magnificent. I'm going to use it.

It just occurred to me to add a paragraph something like this:

Since you government-lovers have finally achieved the Big -- no, make that the ENORMOUS --Government you always wanted, are you trying to tell me that it wasn't until NOW that you actually realized it could all fall into the hands of people you really, REALLY despise?

Is THAT what you're trying to tell me, Kitchy (As if you'd NEVER read The Federalist Papers or ANY of the founding documents?)? Huh?

SHEEEEEEEEEEEESH!!!!!

or something like that

If anyone wants a guffaw at contorted logic, I recommend following the links in #18, particularly those for links 4 and 5 (5 is mungled, but just remove the obvious last broken bit starting with http:// in the midst of the URL from your location field.)

In particular, from #4 is the classic paragraph:

One possible explanation for this is the "Dixiecrat" theory, that in Florida white voters (particularly the rural ones) have been registered as Democrats for years, but voting Republican since Reagan. Looking at the 2000 statistics, also available on Dopp's site, there are similar anomalies, although the trends are not as strong as in 2004. But some suggest the 2000 election may have been questionable in Florida, too.

That takes an amazing contortion: we saw the same thing in 2004 and 2000, therefore both were crooked. The opposite argument is used elsewhere in the article (2000 and 2004 varied, therefore 2004 is due to fraud), but here where it is not convenient, it is tossed out.

Link 5 is even more full of Alice-In-Wonderland reasoning:

But instead of following his logic that the discrepancy suggested vote tampering – as it would in Latin America, Africa or Eastern Europe – Morris postulated a bizarre conspiracy theory that the exit polls were part of a scheme to have the networks call the election for Kerry and thus discourage Bush voters on the West Coast. Of course, none of the networks did call any of the six states for Kerry, making Morris’s conspiracy theory nonsensical. Nevertheless, some Democrats have agreed with Morris's bottom-line recommendation that the whole matter deserves “more scrutiny and investigation.” [The Hill, Nov. 8, 2004]

And of course, there is nothing wrong with Morris's observation. There was indeed bizarre behavior, noted on Free Republic, where states such as South Carolina and Virginia were not called immediately (where President Bush ended up with substantial margins), but much closer states for Kerry were called very quickly, which made it look far more like a close race than it was.

I have some amazing facts as well:

People that Clinton didn't have to pardon

Quite an impressive little list. Guess it pays to pick your friends carefully. Coincidence?

1. James McDougal Clinton's convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation.

2. Mary Mahoney A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3. Vince Foster Former white House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head; ruled a suicide.

4. Ron Brown Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors.

5. C. Victor Raiser II & Montgomery Raiser Major players in the Clinton fund raising organization. Died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6. Paul Tulley Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "Dear friend and trusted advisor".

7. Ed Willey Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8. Jerry Parks Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died, the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9. James Bunch Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.

10. James Wilson Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.

11. Kathy Ferguson Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12. Bill Shelton Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound. Also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13. Gandy Baugh Attorney for Clinton's friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14. Florence Martin Accountant and sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mena Airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.

21. Charles Meissner Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance. Died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

22. Dr. Stanley Heard Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee. Died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton's advisory council, personally treated Clinton's mother, stepfather and brother.

26. Hershell Friday Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1, 1994 when his plane exploded.

8. Kenneth Blackwell co-chaired George Bush's Ohio election campaign. As Ohio secretary of state, he left no stone unturned to surpress the democratic vote.

Like when he ruled against Ralph Nader appearing on the Ohio ballot? You'd think someone who was acting to suppress Kerry votes would have facilitated getting Nader on the ballot, no?

9. Diebold's new touch screen voting machines have no paper trail of any votes. In other words, there is no way to verify that the data coming out of the machine is the same as what was legitimately put in by voters.

Neither do the lever-style machines that I and my parents have been voting on in the Northeast for nigh on 50 years. This is the same type of machine that is used in Philadelphia, IIRC. Why have these people never got all in a huff over the lack of a "paper trail" on these machines?

11. Exit polls are usually excellent predictors of election results.

Like in 2000 when they got Florida wrong because they double counted certain precincts and neglected to adequately consider mail-in voting? Or like in 2002, when the exit polls were so royally screwed up that they couldn't even use the results and had to subsequently disband VNS? Now all of a sudden, in 2004, with a brand new company doing the exit polls, they were supposed to be "excellent predictors"?
