He did it for Pataki and Whitman, but given that he's mostly heard in urban areas, his influence nationally was nill.

I almost forgot about that. All his drug-addled, self-abusing, porn-addict fans were supposed to listen to their "king" and show up en-masse at the polls to defeat Bush.

I guess Stern will just have to join Moore, Franken, Stewart, and Soros in the club of arrogant SOBs who were defeated by the real America in 2004.
