I suppose the term "plutocracy" would also be applicable.
Bush's "Ownership Society" Already Doomed by his Trade Policies
So you oppose plutocracy. If that is true, then you must believe that campaign contributions ARE NOT a form of free speech, as your hero PAt Buchannan does. If that is true, you, by extension, oppose free political speech in general. See Scalia's dissent from their despotic ruling.
On Trade...
Manufacturing jobs are declining worldwide. Did you know that? The only way to compete for a shrinking pie is by lifting the severe restrictions we impose on US manufacturers in the form of taxes.
The FairTax lifts ALL such restrictions.
It makes no difference to me or the plutocracy how the tax is reformed, the ultimate goal is more tax revenue. Any way you slice it, if there is no definable and enforceable limit on the amount of taxes the gov't can confiscate, it will be off to the races no matter the party in control.
A NRST would punish many who have saved and invested after tax income only to be double taxed when these savings are used for consumption.
I agree that the draconian tax system and the IRS have to go but we must be careful not to follow the lemmings over the cliff.
