This is a 1970 photo of rock and roll guitarist Jimi Hendrix at an unknown location. A recent poll, by on-demand cable television service Mag Rack, found that Hendrix had the best 'guitar face' -- the look guitarists get when trying to nail a high note or power chord. (AP Photo) |

BB King has demanded a hand recount, and expects that "King" county will put him over the top.

When a ahole gets in my face I allways try to picture them sitting on the john, constipated, the faces that they would make... it cracks me up... the aholes always wonder what I'm grinning about.
Now there is a poll to take.

I wonder if Jimi had his "guitar face" on when he used to beat women with bricks?

I saw Hendrix twice, once just after he quit the Monkees tour and started with the Experience, and he was unbelievable. I had come from the bands where you had two guitars, bass, drums and keyboards, and here is this trio with a HUGE sound. Then I saw him with Vanilla Fudge abour two years later, and he was so wasted he couldn't tune his guitar.

Hedrix was stoned most of the time. That's why his face looked the way it did. BB King on the other hand, can make Lucille sing without artifical mood enhancers.

I thought Natalie Maines deserved honorable mention. Especially with that mullet.

You are very lucky. I was about 4 years old when he died, so I missed out on all that late 60s stuff. What a waste -- I was right here in New York, but stuck with "square" parents and was blissfully unaware of these musical happenings all around me. :(
