I was unaware that this link had been proved. Many scientists do believe that the emergence of v.C.J.D. is related to the emergence of B.S.E. and its transmission into the food-chain but I have not heard of proof, v.C.J.D. and B.S.E. news gets good coverage in the U.K. as well.
