I'd add another:
4. Anyone holding a government office or directly employed by the government forfeits their vote (for whichever segment of government they hold office or work) for the duration of their term/employment.
Anytime the LIBTURDS are in a dilemma, I'm grooving on their pain.
I agree: The WH is NOT "leading" any effort to fix this problem, nor any other vote fraud problem....
Rather, it has ignored all efforts. And all democrat crimes.
The press sec's answer here was simply evading the question. Not publicizing it!
I had a 4th, anyone working for a non-government entity, but didn't feel excluding retirees was fair. Your idea works well.
Probably on purpose. As a military family it makes my blood boil that these votes were not counted.
The Pentagon needs to change the way of voting for the people who lay their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe.
I anyone has any suggestions as to what I can do please let me know. I have had my fill.
Too bad a high profile Republican won't say that very thing. Wouldn't be prudent, I guess.
In addition, McClellan did not say some pablum along the lines of "The election in Washington has been certified and is finished" or some such.
He said the issue continues in the state. They are not objecting to the Republican party pursuing the revote and that, in politics, is tantamount to support.
In addition, no matter WHAT the demonRATS think or try to get away with, if ANY dead people are allowed to vote in elections, it should be those military heroes that gave their lives in defense of our country and our freedoms.
This is probably a state's issue. I don't know if the White House can do anything directly.
Wa
shington's congressmen should get on this immediately.
If it was like in PA, the ballots were sent out way late, Monday or Tuesday, and had to be back by the Friday before November 2, or they wouldn't be counted. Also, it was the Dems fault they were sent out late--lawsuits to stop Nader from being on the ballot in PA filed by Dems filed late and resolved late. They got a two fer on that one.

There are several threads on the Washington State governor's race that can give you details. I'm following it just in general, but the bottom line is there's evidence of fraud aplenty (dead people voting, more ballots counted than voters recorded as voting, etc) and in addition, the dem counties sent out military ballots late and when they naturally were returned late they were not counted.
There is a movement afoot to at this point have a revote.
I believe there have been 3 vote counts with the R winning the first two and when the dem eeked out on the third the powers that be announced she had won and that was that. Their mantra of "count every vote" and all that ceased to be uttered because as we all know they really mean "count and count until we win".
I didn't say or even imply the WH should "do anything". But they can and do comment on whether they approve of pursuing recounts and such and in this case they did not indicate they consider the case is closed in Washington State.
I think the simple solution would be to allow a two month leave for all washington state millitary personel to go home and have a face to face discussion with the election board (in uniform and armed of course) I think the election board would get the problem worked out in about two minutes!!!
If the diqualification of military ballots is based on post marks missing from ballots recieved from ships at sea such as they were in Florida. Then Congress could intervene based on Artcle 2 Section 8.
Once again, some posters seem to know what is behind the White House curtain. They obviously believe the Washington State Republican Party is a renegade bunch with no advisement from the White House. IF President Bush publicly called for a re-vote or recount in a state election - then they would cry too much Federal government. There are some here whom Pres Bush will never please.
How can we as a group be heard on this issue? I'm not a Washington resident so how do I make my voice heard? Too late now but next gubernatorial election in Washington state should include our military voters.
Perhaps we should go back to the times when only property owners could vote. Freeloaders have nothing to lose and everything to gain from having the wrong people in office.
