Votes were disqualified because they arrived late from the war zone. The absentee ballots were mailed out late and arrived in Iraq one or two days before Election Day.

I think the simple solution would be to allow a two month leave for all washington state millitary personel to go home and have a face to face discussion with the election board (in uniform and armed of course) I think the election board would get the problem worked out in about two minutes!!!

And many arrived AFTER election day.
