You can't vote in Louisiana without a valid ID. It needs to be nation wide.

That is so simple. Why can't they figure it out?(rhetorical)

Same in Tennessee, you have to show valid ID.

Same in Hawaii. Valid ID required to vote as it should be in every state.

Don't ask it rhetorically, let's all ask our Senators and congresscritters. There is no reason a person can't produce a picture I.D. to vote, period. Personally I think they should be required to produce a picture ID and a voters registration card. After all it is not uncommon these days to have to produce two forms of identification for check cashing privileges, and voting is certainly more important than cashing a check.
