I have been kind of watching this from the sidelines being a conservative originally from IL and now thankfully living in a true red state of NE. Since I am from IL I fully grasp what election fraud is all about and I have witnessed the machine politics of Chicago and seen nothing come of it.

My question is, is anything really going to happen here, in your opinion, or do you personally think this will eventually just be swept under the rug like in IL?

(Anyone who wishes to help me better understand this situation, please do.)

I don't know the answer to your question, we'll have to wait and see the outcome. That said, I'm cautiously optimistic for the following reasons:

1. It's finally getting some national attention.

2. There are 2 conservative radio stations in the Seattle area (think they play in many state locales as well). I know that one of them (KVI 570) has 2 talk show hosts that have been in politics for 20+ years - Kirby Wilbur (5 a.m.-9 a.m.) and John Carlson (3 p.m.-6 p.m.)(he ran for Gov in the 2000 election), who have a large audience and have been on this like ugly on a stick. Callers have been calling in with a) military family members not receiving their absentee ballots, when requesting one more than once and/or receiving one, but it was not counted; b) poll watchers who witnessed irregularties; c) assorted other problems and issues. Both have been encouraging listeners to contact the Rossi campaign and/or WA Republican party to report irregularities and also encouraging everyone to sign the revote petition. They also helped organize and spread the word about the last demonstration in Olympia (Kirby was there) and are really going all out for the one next Tuesday (I think both of them plan on being there). They are also in contact with John Fund (an authority on election fraud) and have had him on their shows.

3. So far, 2 citizens have filed election complaints (pro-Dino).

4. The Building Industry Assoc of WA has about 40 support staff just doing research and are planning on filing an election complaint.

5. As I understand it, the Repubs have an very well-qualified and well-organized group (read lawyers), including some that were in Fla in 2000.

6. We have a new Republican judge that will be on the state suprememe court - Jim Johnson.

7. Even some of the Dems in the state are upset with Gregoire and some have said they want to take their vote back. About 59% in a poll said they didn't think G was the rightfully elected Gov.

8. The call for revote is picking up momentum.

I'm sure there are a lot of other things going on behind the scenes of which I'm not aware.

All of the above said, we still have a State Government run primarily by Dems and many liberal judges.

So, while I don't think it will be swept under the rug initially, I'm not sure what will happen and/or what the outcome will be. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying. While I would love to see Dino be our Gov, I also know that God works in mysterious ways, so, if he doesn't get in, I suspect that the election process will be cleaned up and that Maria Cant-do-well will have a very difficult time winning her Senate seat in 06 if Dino runs against her (maybe God's plan is for Dino to be in the Senate)??

<sorry for the long-winded answer - I feel passionate about this and kinda got on a 'roll' ;-)
