WASHINGTON (AP) Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel, a former political operative for President Clinton, was named head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Sunday, replacing the late Rep. Robert Matsui.
Emanuel, a former senior staffer for the House Democrats' fund-raising and recruiting organization, will lead the Democratic effort to regain control of the House in 2006.
Matsui, D-Calif., died Jan. 1 of complications from a rare form of bone marrow disease.
Dang, he has only been in House for two years!!! This is not going to make some Dems that have been there longer very happy.. But of course, a Clintonista gets all the breaks just like the Clintons, themselves.
Oh, well, the more in-fighting the better, I say!!!
His star isn't rising .. he's there only so Hillary can control the House dem agenda.
So what else is new ..??
It's just another way for Hillary to get her real agenda out in the press - bashing the admin on everything - while she votes moderate. Hillary is so transparent - it's amazing she thinks we're too stupid we can't figure it out.
