If a person is like minded enough to be on this website, they certainly have access to the same information you do. Again, the choice may differ, but the choice is a principle right.
Those who do not choose alternative or "new" education, may change their minds later on down the road as their children grow older and are more involved in the public school system. My oldest lasted until 3rd grade before I realized our PS did not match with my family's morals.
I'd prefer not to turn people off to homeschooling by appearing as zealots. I am willing to be here for anyone who wants to get started, and finds it challenging, though.

I am happy with the PS we chose and moved to another state so our daughter could attend. But if I find it to not be living up to the standards it currently is, I will be the first one to admit it and look toward an alternative if I can't make a difference in changing it back.

I'm no "zealot" for homeschooling. I view that as the ideal but for us a private Christian school was the best answer.
