Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavericks was calling on Bush to cancel the inauguration because that money should be sent to tsunami relief---he thought it was taxpayers money going to inauguration.
When told it was private funds, he said Bush would make a good example for Americans by foregoing the inauguration, parties, etc.,
I guess he didn't consider how many small businesses, hotels, airlines, taxis, caterers, would lose out bigtime if it is cancelled. Being an entrepeneur himself, I would have thought he might have thought of American entrepenuers before some of the charities. He suggested Bush donate to Red Cross, well that is another arguement!!
He became a billionaire by being an entrepreneur. I am surprised he would apparently be against people deciding how to spend their own money. I wonder how much he personally has donated to the tsunami relief effort?
