The attack by Islamic fanatics on 9-11 was one in a series of recent attacks initiated during the Clinton Administration - the first attack on the World Trade Center, the attack on U.S. forces overseas, and the Oklahoma City bombing. Even now MORE information is leaking out about Timothy McVeigh, the American NAZI Party and Islamist fanatics in the U.S. who assisted there.

Saddam had claimed victory after his defeat in the First Persian Gulf War, he waged a war of extermination against segments of his own population, he refused to abide by the terms of the Armistice he signed after the first Persian Gulf War, he fired at British and American air planes flying over no-fly zones, he attempted to assinate an American President, and he was actively conspiring with North Korea, Al Quaida, Libya and Iran to produce weapons of mass destruction.

And most of all, he served as an icon and idol for all the Islamofascists out there who hate America, the West, and everything wesatern civilization stands for.

Taking out Saddam was like a crushing a germ-ridden roach.

Destruction of the Saddam regime was as essential as capturing and destroying Taliban held Afghanistan. And it is as important as removing the threat from the equally insane lunatics in Iran and Syria. And Iraq will serve as a great launching pad for attacks against the Syrian Baathists and in support of any popular uprising against the fiends in Iran. It is the Keystone of the archway of terror which runs from the Sudan to Pakistan.

If employ it correctly, the archway will crumble as easily as did Libya.

"We also have an annoying tendency to delude ourselves into thinking that the U.S. and/or international bodies like the U.N. somehow represent a legitimate form of authority in Iraq, while some guy with an AK-47 and a pile of explosives who has lived in Fallujah all his life is an "insurgent.""

Right! He is not an insurgent, he is a terrorist.

"war, Church fathers and doctors recognized, is a necessary part of establishing justice."

They also knew that kicking Muslim butt was a good thing.

You're just ignorant. I hope. But now you can't plead that excuse.

""We spoke a long time about the consequences of a war. I asked: ‘Do you realize what you’ll unleash inside Iraq by occupying it?’ The disorder, the conflicts between Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds everything that has in fact happened," the cardinal said. Bush insisted that democracy would be the main result."

Where is the link? What publication was this in? When did he make this quote?

"So World War I,rather than being the final chapter became the 'prologue' to the volume we are still writing as we speak."

Apparently you are not too old to blather meaningless nonsense. Pity.

Keeping them away and doing a darn good job of it, too.

"If WWII was a success, what was the Cold War all about?"

Good overlooked point. Of interest, the Commies are still around with growing military and economic muscle. China and Russia just had some joint war games.

The Commies should wait until we have finished fighting WW III against those Islam Fascists who threaten us with car bombs, improvised explosives and box cutters.

It is us against the world. Start the draft. Replace those tax cuts with war bonds. Bring the factories back. Suit up Rosie the Riveter. Be patriotic Uncle Sam wants you. Pray for us.
