Me and my brothers used to go barefoot all summer long. By August I could walk in total comfort across sharp mussel beds and marsh sawgrass.
In September, cinching wide, leathery feet into shoes was always painful, and it took at least a week to get over the discomfort.
C'mon over then...we'll practice "toughing up" again together.....;))
[and bring the bike...when the ooching and ouching gets old, we'll take to the highway]
Sounds good but it'll have to wait until spring. The bike is hibernating for the winter.
When most of us were kids, we weighed a lot less which means there was less pressure between our feet and the ground (whether it was gravel, pavement, a trail, etc.) we walked on.
Actually I weighed 20 pounds more then than now.
I'm just getting old and soft....;))
We took off for a quickie on New Year's day.
Had great luck for a week.
[I think I've invented a whole new New Year's biker superstition/tradition]....LOL!
