AIR AMERICA' RATINGS TURBULENCE IN NY CITY

Surprising many observers who expected it to shine during election season, all-liberal upstart WLIB (1190 AM) -- base station for Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo -- actually headed south, shedding 15% of its summer audience to finish fall at 24th place in just-released ARBITRONS...

They have far exceded my life-span projection of 2 weeks after the elections. 24th place, even in NYC, sucks.

Wonder how they feel knowing their brand of ideology isn't much appreciated even in liberal NYC?
Rush and others said some time back it wasn't time to gloat, I think there's no better time like the present to gloat and have a good laugh at the expense of those who are trying to sell out our country.
Hahhahhahha!

Air America made a very bad business decision in NYC. They took over WLIB, which had been a very popular "ethnic" radio station. So WLIB's ratings went down after AA chased away all the existing listener base.
Meanwhile there's plenty liberal radio in NYC already.

Had not seen that picture of Al Frankenstein before. It struck me for the first time how much he looks like the Joker on the old Batman TV series.

Liberal ideas and policies just simply cannot be sustained in a talk radio format. Secondly, one cannot simply create a market in this venue. All talk radio personalities have built their audiences over time, and have grown to where they are now. The idea that one can just simply create a network and start blabbing and bring in the ratings is....well, just another liberal pipe dream. Idiots.

El Rushbo's flagship(WABC/770)RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
%%%%%
An observation that I never see mentioned, especially by those who fear and envy the power of Rush, is
every half hour listeners of WABC and other major radio stations carrying his program are subjected to the ABC (or possibly CBS) brand of "News." This includes at least one soundbite that is anti-Bush or anti-republican.
During the Clinton years, we were subjected to a soundbite of Clinton's own voice practically every half-hour.
To libs the top of the hour "news" was normal. To me it was a cause for teeth-grinding.

As we all know here, most people do not want to hear what a rotten, arrogant country the United States is....our country where we live. It appears that even libs can't stand it very long either. I tried to listen to Franken a while back, I lasted about 3 min. I could imagine a drooling lib being able to stand it for a couple of months, but it soon would wear on even him. It takes a slobbering, rolling on the floor lib like , say, Moore to be able to listen to KLIB for any length of time.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Air America (I get it on XM) is nothing but shrill name calling for hours on end. No attempt is ever made to substantiate an accusation or logically argue a point. The so-called "comedy" is just horrible. At least NPR does try to rationally put forth the liberal point of view and does have some good programming. Imaginge listening to Susan Estrich's voice for eight hours straight and you have a pretty good idea of Air America.

I'm a man of peace - and I usually don't wish bad things on people.
That said, I'd really like to see al franken viciously mauled to death by a pack of three Rottweillers - then eaten by a couple of grizzly bears.
Once the bears crap him back out, I'd like for the feces to be force-fed to john kerry, hillary klinton, and janeane garofalo.
(Hey - cut me some slack...I didn't use a single cuss word!)

Actually they didn't head SOUTH. They are still in the NORTHEAST. Most of us in the SOUTH don't fall for liberal propaganda.
