Something like what?
A whole bunch of people going off halfcocked on a story that was MANUGFACTURED?
He was NEVER booked for the party.
This story is completely made up.
You were "had" by Wildmon and World Net Daily; I hope you didn't send him any money.

The communists had a term for it called useful idiot. How kind of you. Nice way to debate...insulting other posters. Tunnel vision is unbecoming, as is painting with a broad brush.

You need to take control of your life and vote for the liberals whom most represent you if you really are awake.
But, please continue to vote Republican and conservative.
The converse is true as well. So many who vote for dems do not hold liberal values or live the liberal lifestyle.

How many people, who might have been lurking here to learn about conservatism in general, or who might find it appealing, read post #52 and swiftly decided to go elsewhere for their political efforts?
The Democrats have no chance of ever destroying the Right in America. However, its own Necromongers will.

"You need to take control of your life and vote for the liberals whom most represent you if you really are awake." And you need to stop giving "advice", or "opinions" like that in public. You are FAR from qualified to offer either.

The people sticking up for Kid Rock here are fully inculcated with the MSM values and morals. Definitely much closer to Clinton than Bush or Reagan in their outlook on life and values. I dare you to say that to me.

Yeah, no kidding. Although I'm not sure if they wouldn't still vote conservative or Republican, at least, if that's what they really want to do.
They just wouldn't announce it, for fear of being labeled a bigot.

'If Kid Rock is kind enough and concerned enough to visit our troops and entertain them in Iraq and afghanistan then he's good enough to entertain at the Bush Twins party. Rock and roll is a true American art form and Kid Rock carries on that tradition. That "Big Tent" of the GOP seems to have gotten smaller since the election.'
That's just an opinion. The organizers of the concert evidently felt that enough people were concerned about it.
I personally don't know enough about Kid Rock to say whether or not it would have been good to have him perform. I do remember reading about the troops loving him. But that's not the problem. The issue is his image. In many arenas, especially politics, it's important to put your best foot forward. Kid Rock's image revolve's around putting his worst foot forward. I am sure he is a great supporter of President Bush, the troops and America. Unfortunately his image obscurring a lot of that.

Or a "useful idiot", for that matter. Nobody wants to work hard and be denigrated for it.

Talk about being totally out of line.
More of the my way or the highway mentality, isn't it?

How are you sticking up for "Kid Rock"?By saying it wasn't true, which you refuse to believe and use this opportunity to trash somebody with facts that aren't even true.
He wrote ONE SONG 19 years ago; let it go. I imagine you are a little different than you were 19 years ago, right?

'And what is wrong with being a rebel, if he is one? I know of some people who would have been considered rebels at the founding of this country.'
If you want to be a rebel that's fine. But in politics it is damaging.
In the case of the founding of this country, there is a stark difference between them and what we are discussing. The early American 'rebels' were fighting against tyranny and oppression. Read the Declaration of Independance and you may sense the deference the founders gave to upholding the law, and their reasoning to declare that it violated basic human decency. After much effort and being left with no recourse they became 'rebels'.
Kid Rock has no such cause. He is rebelling against decency and morality.

But after reading some of the posts on this thread, it's no wonder conservatives have been stuck with a stereotype that they are a bunch of prudes with a stick up their ass who think their ears will bleed if they hear an F- wordYes!!!!
