John Kerry, loser slacker with pretty hands who has never held a real job, has never done his own yardwork, windsurfs, snowboards, or rides his 23 thousand dollar custom Serotta bicycle when he SHOULD have been sitting in Congress.
He is an admitted traitor, and he admitted to committing war crimes HIMSELF.
In other words, he should be in prison instead.
What could be more hypocritical than that?

Pinko, you're not the troll named MMII who signed up yesterday, just like you did, are you?
The Viking Kitties enjoyed having their way with him! It was glorious. Wagnerian operatic Valkyries swooping out of the sky with lightning bolts!!!
Ah, the smell of ozone.

Pinko...
There's a BIG difference between a murderer and an unborn human.
At least you agree that abortion is murder.
The reason I support the death penalty is it's cheaper to kill a murderer than to house, feed, and care for him/her for life.

I'm all for banning the death penalty, when a Gulag is built in Alaska and current death row inmates are sent there to do hard labor until they die. I'll trade you a ban on the death penalty if you keep the ACLU and other "human rights" whackos away from my gulag. Deal?

Is there a difference between a baby not yet born, who hasn't committed any crimes or broken any laws or killed anyone, and a murderer? Is there? That's the difference between abortion and the death penalty.

I fear that you're about to encounter the FR version of the death penalty. It's called the ZOT!. There are no appeals, there are no lawyers and there is no reprieve.

A couple of the most infuriating hypocrisies of conservatives and Bush in particular are the so-called respect for life (Pro-Life) yet unwavering support of the DEATH penalty and the invocation of God in the support of both. It's not hypocritical at all. The death penalty is the ultimate affirmation of life. Life is sacred, if you murder someone, we will go so far as to take your life away. Of course, to someone like you who sees the life of an innocent victim the same as the life of a murderer, this makes no sense. But to use normal people, it makes perfect sense.

"Ever since I first encountered Sister Helen Prejean, I realized it is completely and utterly absurd to call yourself a religious person and support the Death Penalty"
First of all I am not religious but I am a Christian - there is a difference.
Secondly because I am a Christian I can support the death penalty because God has ordained it.
God has ordained that government should have power over evil doers.
Rom 13:4
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
The purpose of the death penalty was not man's vengeance. The purpose of the death penalty is to "put away evil" from society. - See Deut. 22
We have decided as a society not to put away evil, therefore evil continues and even grows.
We dishonor God when we allow the innocent to die by abortion yet keep alive murderers.
Ezekiel 13:19
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

You and "sister" Prejean (did she get that title at the same store as "Sistah Soulja"?) should brush up on your Catholic doctrine. The Church has always supported capital punishment as a prerogative of the State. As St. Thomas Aquinas put it:
"The slaying of an evil-doer is lawful inasmuch as it is directed to the welfare of the whole community, and therefore appertains to him alone who has charge of the community. Now the care of the common good is entrusted to rulers having public authority; and therefore to them is it lawful to slay evil-doers, not to private individuals." (ST, IIa IIae, q. 64, art. 3)
